40ft High Cube Shipping Container — Used
The 40ft high cube, in used condition. The most popular shell in the country for container conversions — and the cheapest way to get one.

Why conversions start here
Almost every container home, workshop, gym and studio you have seen started life as a 40ft high cube. The reason is height. Once you insulate, batten out and line a standard container, you finish with a ceiling that feels oppressive. Start with a high cube and you finish with something you can live in.
Buying used for a conversion makes particular sense, because the exterior is going to be cut, welded, clad or painted anyway. Paying a premium for factory paint you are about to modify is money burned.
What to check for a conversion shell
Tell us it is for a conversion when you enquire and we will select accordingly. The things that matter change: roof condition becomes critical because you cannot easily fix it once lined; floor condition matters less if you are overlaying; and cosmetic dents are irrelevant if you are cladding. A container we would grade as ordinary for storage might be ideal for you.
Also good for
Bulky lightweight goods — packaging, insulation, furniture, stock on tall pallets. Anything where you run out of height before you run out of floor.
