Frozen is not just colder

Any reefer can be set below zero. Running reliably at deep-frozen temperatures, in an Australian summer, day after day, is a different ask — and it is where underspecified units fail. The compressor works harder, the insulation matters more, and door seal condition stops being cosmetic.

When you tell us it is a freezer application rather than a chiller, we select differently. That conversation is worth having.

Who needs one

Butchers and abattoirs. Seafood operators. Ice cream and frozen food producers. Bait and tackle. Commercial kitchens with no freezer capacity. Emergency and overflow frozen storage.

Practical points

Every door opening costs you temperature and costs the compressor. If staff will be in and out frequently, strip curtains are worth fitting and we can arrange that.

Frost build-up on seals will eventually stop doors sealing. A quick weekly check saves an expensive failure.

Have a plan for power failure. A freezer container full of stock represents real money, and an alarm or temperature monitor is cheap insurance.
