20ft Insulated Shipping Container
A standard container insulated and lined at our depot. Dramatically cooler in summer, far less condensation, and comfortable enough to work in.
The condensation problem
An uninsulated steel container in Australia does something predictable: it heats to well above ambient during the day, then the air inside cools at night and dumps its moisture on every cold surface. People call it container rain, and it ruins stock.
Insulation breaks that cycle. It slows the heat gain, reduces the temperature swing, and moves the dew point away from your contents.
How we do it
Insulation is fitted to walls, ceiling and often the floor, then lined so it is protected and cleanable. We will discuss the options — rigid panel, spray applied, or batts behind sheeting — based on what you are storing and what you are spending. Each has genuine trade-offs and we will explain them rather than defaulting to one.
Where it makes the difference
Workshops and site rooms where people actually work. Storage for electronics, chemicals, paint, adhesives, seed, wine and documents. Any container that will be occupied rather than just filled.
Consider the alternatives honestly
If you need heavy insulation and stable temperature, a non-operating reefer may cost you less than insulating a standard container. Ask us to compare the two for your situation.
Tell us what you are storing and we will compare an insulated shipping container against a non-operating reefer for your situation, honestly, including cost.
