Somewhere for the crew to sleep

Remote projects, seasonal harvests, mine and exploration camps and large rural properties all need worker accommodation where none exists. Container sleeper units are transportable, durable, and can be redeployed to the next site when this one finishes — which is precisely why the resources sector standardised on them.

Configuration

Commonly a 20ft split into two single rooms with separate external doors, or a 40ft into three or four. Each room gets a bed, storage, desk space, lighting, power outlets and air conditioning. Full insulation and lining throughout, and adequate ventilation — both non-negotiable for sleeping accommodation in the Australian climate.

What a sleeper unit is not

These are sleeping rooms. Bathrooms and kitchens are separate — typically an ablution container and a crib room alongside. Plan the camp as a group of units rather than expecting one container to do everything.

Compliance

Worker accommodation is regulated, with requirements covering room size, ventilation, fire safety, egress and amenity ratios. Mine sites carry additional standards. Tell us the application and jurisdiction so we build to the right specification.
