20ft Generator Enclosure Container
A container built around a generator set. Engineered intake and discharge airflow, exhaust routing, acoustic lining and fuel containment.
Generators need more air than people expect
The single most common failure in a home-made generator container is inadequate airflow. A diesel genset needs combustion air, cooling air across the radiator, and a clear discharge path — and the volumes are large. Get it wrong and the set overheats and derates, or shuts down, usually on the day you actually need it.
We size intake and discharge openings to the set, not to what looks reasonable.
The rest of the build
Exhaust penetration with proper thermal separation and support. Acoustic lining, which matters near dwellings and boundaries. Fuel tank containment and bunding. Vibration isolation. Control panel access and cable entries. Doors and panels positioned so the set can be serviced, and so it can be lifted out when its life ends.
Prime or standby
A standby set that runs occasionally and a prime set that runs continuously need different treatment — cooling, fuel capacity and service access all change. Tell us which.
What we need from you
Generator make, model and rating, fuel capacity required, run regime, and any noise limits that apply at your site boundary.
Send us the genset make, model and rating. A generator enclosure container is sized around airflow, and airflow is sized around the machine.
