A one-trip 10ft: manufactured overseas, loaded once, shipped here, then sold. Effectively new, without the price of a purpose-built unit.
10ft General Purpose Shipping Container — New (One Trip)
What “one trip” actually means
There is a lot of loose language in this industry, so here is ours. A one-trip container was built, filled with cargo once, sailed to Australia, and unpacked. It has been at sea for a matter of weeks, not years. You will typically find the paint intact, the plywood floor clean and unstained, the door seals soft and the cam locks moving freely. There may be a scuff or two from handling. It is not a museum piece; it is a container that has done one job.
Compared with a purpose-built new container shipped empty, a one-trip costs meaningfully less for a condition most buyers cannot tell apart.
Why the 10ft size
The 10ft is the compromise size. It holds noticeably more than an 8ft while still fitting on suburban blocks and tight commercial yards. For many customers it is the largest container their site will physically take.
What it suits
Secure site storage on residential builds. Council and community group equipment. Farm chemical and tool storage where the shed is already full. Home storage during a renovation or a move.
If your budget is tighter than your standards, look at our used 10ft range instead — the same footprint, graded and inspected, for less.
Ask us what one-trip stock is on the ground before you decide — a new 10ft shipping container is not always sitting in the yard, and lead time is worth knowing early.
