20ft Platform Container
A flat rack with the end walls removed entirely. Just a rated deck and corner castings — nothing whatsoever in the way of the load.
The last resort, in the best sense
When a load is so wide, so long or so awkwardly shaped that even a flat rack’s end walls get in the way, a platform is what is left. It is a floor with lifting points. Nothing more, by design.
What goes on them
Very large machinery. Industrial plant sections. Transformers and generators. Prefabricated building modules. Loads that overhang in every direction at once.
You are responsible for restraint
With no end walls, there is nothing at all preventing longitudinal movement except the lashings you apply. Platform loads must be engineered and secured by someone who knows what they are doing. We are not being cautious for the sake of it — an unrestrained load on a platform is genuinely dangerous.
Static use is common
A great many platforms are bought never to be transported. They make excellent permanent bases: tank stands, pump pads, generator mounts, equipment platforms on ground that would swallow a concrete pour. The corner castings let you level them precisely on stacked footings.
